The National Modern Foreign Languages Conference will assess the latest best practice methods and strategies to enhance MFL teaching provision and improve attainment for all MFL pupils, and ensuring these efforts are in line with the latest Ofsted inspection framework.
An update will be provided on the Department for Education commissioned MFL subject content review, by chair of the review panel, Ian Bauckham CBE.
Attendees will also discuss how to overcome the challenges around progress due to the COVID-19 school closures, and explore the future of MFL teaching and learning including through online provisions and the use of technology, as well as the next steps in assessing these subjects, with oral exams having been dropped for some subjects for the next academic year.
